Welcome to my Acorns & Oaks Quilts web log!
This is a new endeavor so check back for more info as I post photos of my quilts, fabric paintings and clothing. I’m developing new patterns to share.
I closed my quilt shop at the end of last year and moved my business to my home studio to be with my family more. I miss the daily interaction with all the wonderful quilting friends and so I’m reconnecting this way.
I enjoy my friends in the Delectable Mountains Quilt Guild in Berkeley Springs, WV. I am the chair of the committee organizing our annual October retreat at Hunting Ridge, near Winchester, VA.
I am a member of the Friendship Quilt Guild of Linthicum, MD who will be having their fall retreat at Cacapon Resort State Park in Berkeley Springs. October will be beautiful, fun and productive, probably in that order.
I also belong to the wonderful WV Quilter’s, Inc. Our ranks grew by a considerable amount at the WV Quilt Festival this past June in Summersville, WV. I was also there as a vendor and the quilts on display were numerous and beautiful. Each quilt spoke volumes about the artist and the delightful pastime, or shall I say passion, of quilting.

This is my own pattern and design that evolved from the fabric choice.
